How to Complete the End of Year Closeout in a Strategic Planning Initiative (SPI)

Description

This article goes through the steps necessary for a client to complete the End of Year Closeout.

 

Resolution

  1. Finding your Initiative
    1. Navigate to the Client Portal
    2. Select, 'Services' on the black header ribbon then 'My Approvals' on the gray header ribbon.
    3. Find the Initiative you wish to update
    4. Click the link under the 'Step' column for your Initiative
  2. Making the End of Year Closeout Decision
    1. Depending on the success of Initiative or your end-of-year intent, click on one of the following:
      1. If the Initiative meets your expectations and you intend to close it, click the yellow button that reads, 'Update SPI - Status to Complete - Meets Expectations'
      2. If the Initiative did not meet your expectations and you intend to close it, click the yellow button that reads, 'Update SPI - Status to Complete - Does Not Meet Expectations'
      3. If the Initiative met expectations and you want to do the same initiative next year, click the yellow button that reads, 'Update SPI - Close Current SPI - Successful and Spawn New'
      4. If the SPI is not complete and you attend to complete it, click the yellow button that reads, 'Update SPI - Continue SPI into Next Year'
      5. If you will not be completing the Initiative for any reason, click the yellow button that reads, 'Update SPI - Status to Cancel'
    2. Provide any optional comments you wish and press 'Save'
      1. If you selected 'Update SPI - Continue SPI into Next Year' the Initiative will once again be visible in your "My Approvals" in approximately five minutes.
      2. If you selected 'Update SPI - Close Current SPI - Successful and Spawn New' the current Initiative will not reappear in your "My Approvals" but the new initiative will appear in approximately 30 minutes.
      3. If you selected any of the other options, the Initiative will disappear from your "My Approvals."
  3. To view completed SPI's 
    1. Navigate to 'Services'
    2. Select 'Ticket Requests'
    3. Search for 'SPI' and changed the "Status Class" to 'Completed'
