Military and Veterans Student Center
The Military and Veteran Student Center exists to build and maintain a community of students with military experience and to provide comprehensive support for the unique needs of veterans, military members and military dependents in an environment of respect. The center features veteran staff members that are ready to answer questions and connect students with resources. The lounge area provides a place to study or hang out with other students, while the computer area provides students with a place to get work done and access to free printing. Veteran Services
Veteran Services provides information on education benefit programs and assists with the application process for obtaining education benefits. Veterans Services, located in the Shocker Success Center, room 318, is responsible for certifying the enrollment and changes in enrollment of eligible students to the VA Regional Office in St. Louis. Veterans Upward Bound
Veterans Upward Bound is a pre-college program designed specifically to assist veterans with the college admission and financial aid/GI Bill process. We offer individualized range of services designed to prepare eligible veterans for success when they enter their chosen educational program.
All services, including academic and career counseling, workshops, and instruction are free of charge. Students can visit wichita.edu/vub for more information about these services.
