UNDERGRADUATE HONORS
GPA requirement for Graduation Honors
- Cum Laude: 3.250 - 3.549
- Magna Cum Laude: 3.550 - 3.899
- Summa Cum Laude: 3.900 - 4.000
You need to have both a Wichita State University (Institutional) and Overall GPA at these levels to be granted honors. The academic distinction will be reflected on your diploma and transcript.
GPA requirement for Semester Honors
- Dean’s List - Students enrolled in 12 or more hours and achieve a 3.500 GPA or higher for the semester
- Academic Commendation - Students enrolled in 6-11 hours and achieve a 3.500 GPA or higher for the semester

GRADUATE HONORS
Because all Graduate students must perform at an honors level in order to be admitted and achieve an honors GPA in order to receive their degree, the Graduate School does not designate honors for GPA achievement.
