How many credits do I need to be considered a full-time student?

Undergraduate
US Citizen and Permanent Resident Students
Full-time enrollment for undergraduate students is 12 credit hours in fall, spring and summer semesters.

International and Intensive English Students
International students are required by law to maintain a full course of study. This is defined as 12 credit hours for undergraduate students (or 18 hours of classroom instruction per week for Intensive English students) in fall and spring and six (6) credit hours in summer.

Graduate
Full-time enrollment for graduate students is at least 9 credit hours in fall and spring semesters and six (6) credit hours in summer semester. Exceptions to allow graduate assistants (GTA, GRA and GSAs) who hold a 20-hour appointment to be enrolled in 6-8 hours in fall and spring semesters and three (3) credit hours in the summer may be approved by the program where the student holds admission.
