Undergraduate
The required number of earned hours for a bachelor's degree vary by academic program. The vast majority of degrees require at least 120 credit hours, however, there are some that require more. You could complete a degree in four years (eight semesters) if you earn an average of 15 credit hours per semester. It may take longer depending on your major, credit hours attempted and credit hours completed each semester.
Hours of credit earned toward a degree do NOT include courses with grades of F, W, Au, NCr, IP or I.
Graduate
All master’s degrees require a minimum of 30 credit hours, with some programs requiring more. The timeline for completing your program will vary based on the type of degree or credential, the number of credit hours you choose to take each semester and other requirements (such as thesis, dissertation or fieldwork). For information about your degree requirements please view the Graduate Catalog.
Intensive English Students
The length of time a student may spend in Intensive English is dependent upon several factors including 1) the student's level of English proficiency when they begin their studies, 2) how they adapt to language learning, 3) how much effort they put into their studies, and 4) their desired level of English proficiency.
