What does Confirmation of Admission Status mean for financial aid?

Once you graduate with a degree, you must be admitted into a new degree-bound program to qualify for federal financial aid for any subsequent term. An admissions requirement is placed on your financial aid record if you have been offered financial aid for a future term, but you have not yet declared a new degree program. This requirement prevents any additional financial aid from paying.

If you are graduating and do not plan to continue your education, email finaid@wichita.edu and notify us you will not need financial aid in the upcoming term since you will not be attending WSU.

If you do not plan to graduate this term, contact your academic advisor or appropriate department to update your graduation semester.

If you are graduating, but also continuing your education and wish to receive federal financial aid, you must be admitted into a new degree-bound program. When our system shows you are in a new degree program, the requirement can be cleared.
