GTA and GRA positions which receive tuition waivers or fee reductions will be considered in the calculation of financial aid eligibility.
You may have noticed an estimated GTA/GRA discount as part of your financial aid resources, due to previous receipt of a GTA/GRA discount. If this estimate is incorrect because you will no longer be receiving the discount, you may notify the Office of Financial Aid via email and we will review your federal financial aid eligibility.
We have added this estimate to your account to ensure we are meeting regulations set by the federal government. In most cases, this prevents the over-awarding of your federal financial aid in one semester, allowing for the even disbursement of that aid over two semesters.
