Do you have financial programs for military and veterans besides the VA benefits?

Wichita State offers several financial aid benefits for military personnel as well as veterans.

Military scholarships

Yellow Ribbon Program
Eligible military members, veterans and dependents using Post-9/11 G.I. Bill benefits who are not Kansas residents will be able to save up to $8,000 per year attending Wichita State University.

WSU has joined the Yellow Ribbon Program, an initiative of the Department of Veteran Affairs through which WSU and the VA share the cost of the difference between in-state and out-of-state students with military backgrounds to attend WSU. Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant
Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grants are for undergraduate students whose parent or guardian was a member of the U.S. armed forces and died as a result of performing military service in Iraq or Afghanistan after the events of 9/11.

Students must be ineligible for a Federal Pell Grant due only to having less financial need than is required to receive Pell Grant funds. Students must also have been less than 24 years old or enrolled at least part-time at an institution of higher education at the time of the parent or guardian's death.
