Note: WSU has turned over bus service to Wichita Transit city buses.
Wichita State University offers three shuttle routes for your convenience. A map of the routes can be found on the website at www.wichita.edu/parking. You can download the free Shocker Shuttle Tracker My Stop Mobile app to track the location of the next bus while waiting inside the comfort of a building.
Metroplex Route (Route 202A)
This route picks up and drops off every 7-15 minutes with a one minute stop at each location beginning at 7:00 a.m. daily.
Campus Circulator Route (Route 21A)
The Campus route picks up and drops off every 20 minutes with a one minute stop at each location beginning at 7:00 a.m. daily.
WSU South and Shocker Studios (Route 202)
WSU has partnered with Wichita Transit to allow students, faculty and staff of WSU and WSU Tech to ride city buses for free by presenting a valid Shocker ID to the driver. Bus route 202 now connects the Hughes Metropolitan Complex, WSU’s main campus and WSU South. The route travels north and south on Oliver and it is open to the public stopping at marked bus stops along Oliver. Service will run on an hourly schedule Monday through Friday beginning at 7:00 a.m. and ending each day after the conclusion of WSU evening classes. See Wichita Transit Route 202 for more information. This bus now has an end-of-day route for students living in apartments along 21st N. to Woodlawn.
Q-Line trolley service (Route Q1)
Anyone on campus and anyone wanting to travel to campus are now able to travel to and from downtown through a new Q-Line Connector shuttle. The free shuttle will run every 10-15 minutes from 8 p.m.-1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays during the spring semester. The trolley will pick people up at Braeburn Square, Shocker Hall and The Flats and take them to a stop on Hillside and Douglas Ave, which then connects to a Q trolley and right into downtown and Old Town.
Walmart shopping
WSU no longer provides shuttle service to Walmart since bus service is available for free with Wichita Transit by presenting a valid Shocker ID to the driver.
