Zoom enables each user to create and host their own online meeting.
Zoom Account / Login:
- username and password authentication via single-sign-on option, meaning each valid WSUID/password combination functions as a Zoom ID/password.
- users will receive their own permanent, personal room for meetings, or they have the ability to generate a random, one-time URL to use for an instant meeting or a scheduled meeting in the future. Invites can be sent by email, course messages, or Blackboard announcement, and the meeting room ID can be shared as a URL accessible by any browser.
Functionality:
- users meet in virtual meeting rooms in real-time, connect via camera, microphone, keyboard, screen sharing, whiteboard, etc.
- Each meeting has one or more “Hosts” and one or more “Participants.” Hosts have control over the available tools in the meeting environment, as well as the overall look, feel, and function of the meeting. To schedule and send invites for Zoom meeting, go to the Scheduling a Zoom Meeting webpage on the Wichita State University website.

- Zoom works via browser plug-in and/or free installable app, across desktop and mobile platforms (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS) and all browsers.
