Body
If you drop or withdraw from class(es) after the 100% refund period has ended, you may be eligible to petition for a refund if you have special circumstances (i.e. military deployment, serious illness, death in the family, etc.). Petitions are submitted through the Accounts Receivable/Student Accounts Office. It is required that the petition be filed within the semester the course was taken and must include appropriate documentation (i.e. hospital records, doctor's letter, death certificate, obituary, etc.) justifying the request.
Course related fees, campus infrastructure and support fee, tuition and student fees are refundable under certain circumstances. Fees such as the admissions fee, late fees, some department specific fees, and the $130 down payment of the payment plan are not refundable.
In general, the Director or Tuition Refund Board meets once per week to review petitions. In very limited circumstances, you may request a meeting by emailing wsuaccountsreceivable@wichita.edu. If your petition is denied, the decision is final unless you can provide new information to help justify your request within 30 business days.
