How to Add Users in 3D Experience

Description

You can add users to 3D Experience by either typing in the email address for every account you want to add, or create a .csv file with all the email address set in a certain format.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Members tab on the top bar of 3D Experience, just below the blue bar
  2. If you would like to manually add users, hit Invite members
    1. Type in their email address separated by semicolon’s (;)
    2. Make sure their user rights are set to Member(unless the person you are adding is faculty, then give them admin rights), hit next
    3. Check all the roles, make sure all are selected then hit next
    4. Check Catia V5 and SOLIDWORKS, hit Invite
  3. If you would like to upload a .csv file to add multiple users at once, hit import members near the top
    1. Hit Invite members,
    2. Attached is an example csv file.  You can download and modify this or create a .csv file by opening excel and type the email address of the students in this format: sample-email@wichita.edu;member;member;
      1. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    3. Save the file as .csv, hit Browse.. and select the .csv file you created, hit next
    4. Check all the roles, make sure all are selected then hit next
    5. Check Catia V5 and SOLIDWORKS, hit Invite
