Windows
- Go to the File explorer. (The file icon pinned in the bar at the bottom).
- Right Click “This PC” in the bar on the left hand side.
- Select Map Network drive.
- Pick a drive, usually y or z.
- Type in the folder you wish to map. The two most common folders we map are listed below. You will need to do steps 1-4 twice to map them both.
Common Folders:
\\ad.wichita.edu\UCATS\WSUTechs_Share
\\filesvc-306\engr_software
Mac
- Click on the desktop or a finder window. (The menu bar should say finder next to the apple icon.)
- Press Command+K
- In the Server Address field, type smb://server/path/to/share
- Optionally, you can then click the + button to the right of the server address field to add the share to the favorites.
- Click connect.
