These two servers (96 cores, 2.3TB with 4x H200 GPU per server) are an excellent resource.
Please follow the subsequent steps and ensure all necessary documentation is ready upon submission:
- Talk to department Chair and Terrance Figy to insure these resources are a good fit for your needed research prior to submitting your request.
-
The requester must complete the two (2) listed Export Compliance trainings via the CITI program (https://about.citiprogram.org/) before the request is evaluated. Access will not be given with out EC training.

Eligibility
Work and research undertaken at WSU and IDP requires proper handling, using, and safeguarding of information that is subject to U.S. Export Control Regulations by federal law. Therefore, it is integral to understand if a project may implicate these regulations as early as possible in the project-planning stage.
Access to Controlled Information is a privilege. Unauthorized access, use for an unpermitted purpose, and or mismanagement of such information risk economic and strategic injury to the information owner and reputational harm and legal complications for Wichita State University and yourself. As an employee, affiliate, or appointee of WSU, understand that you are bound by the restrictions in contracts and confidentiality agreements signed by the university, as well as any implicated federal export control regulations, and are personally accountable for a breach by yourself. Researchers may be held personally liable for violations of such terms and regulations. No one wants to be on the wrong side of the law, and this is where the Office of Export Controls & Compliance comes in. The office is dedicated to helping all areas at WSU flourish in its compliance with these regulations, and can be contacted at exportcontrols@wichita.edu or (316) 978-COMP.
Core Objective: We need to verify that personnel will only operate the HPC (“use”) to run workloads and will not receive controlled “technology” or “software” (e.g., source code, firmware details, system-level documentation, or training beyond user-level operation) that could constitute a deemed export to foreign persons under the EAR. E.g., if users only submit jobs, compile/run code, and follow public/user-level documentation—with no access to system source code, firmware, or technical design—that is typically “use-only” and not a deemed export.
Cost
No cost for this service at this time.
Normal Time To Delivery
Once all required components of the access request are submitted, response and approval results may take up to two weeks. Failure to provide all necessary access documentation and information within two weeks may result in your request being denied, the ticket closed, and resubmission being required.
