Overview
The University maintains an institutional Zoom account to provide Licensed (Pro) Zoom accounts for faculty and staff. This service offering may be used for license-related requests as well as Zoom technical support questions.
A Standard (Basic) Zoom account, which is freely available to all users, allows hosting meetings with up to 100 participants for a maximum of 40 minutes. A Licensed Zoom account removes the meeting time limit and increases the participant capacity to up to 300.
Users may join meetings hosted by others without restriction, regardless of license type or whether they have a Zoom license.
Eligibility
This service is available to all faculty and staff of the University and affiliated users with an @wichita.edu email address. At this time, all Zoom Pro licenses are fully allocated and no additional licenses are guaranteed to be available.
If there is a dire business need for a Zoom Pro license, the user’s budget officer must contact mrc.business@wichita.edu and include the number of Zoom Pro licenses requested and the names of the individuals who would use them. Approval is not guaranteed and will be reviewed based on availability and business justification.
Before requesting a Zoom Pro license, users are strongly encouraged to contact IT to determine whether Microsoft Teams Premium may be a better-suited alternative for their needs.

Cost
$120 per year per Licensed account as of FY 27. Licenses are not prorated. Licenses are transferable but non-refundable.
