Overview
ITS is providing a limited amount of new lease loaner laptops for faculty and staff during COVID-19 circumstances. The laptops are for temporary use during this time. At the end of this period, there are two options available:
- The laptop will need to be returned to ITS in the same condition it was in when checked out.
OR
- If the faculty member wants to keep the laptop at the end of the COVID-19 circumstances, have their departmental budget officer to arrange with ITS (its.procurement@wichita.edu) to take over the 3-year lease.
Eligibility
This service is available to all university Faculty or Staff. Request approval is based on the following Priority:
- Priority 1:
- Faculty teaching large classes who do not have access to a working laptop or desktop to work remotely, if needed.
- Priority 2:
- Faculty teaching smaller classes who do not have access to a working laptop or desk to work remotely, if needed.
- Priority 3:
- Staff with no access to a working laptop or desk to work remotely, if needed.
Students may email Tami.Koester@wichita.edu, who will work with them on their request for a loaner.
Cost
There is no charge to request the use of a temporary loaner laptop; however, at the end of COVID-19, there are two options available:
