Disbursements begin nine (9) days prior to the standard start date for 16-week courses or 8-week summer courses. If your courses start later in the semester, then your aid will disburse nine (9) days prior to the start date of your earliest course. If you have a financial aid disbursement hold and have recently changed your schedule, notify the Office of Financial Aid by email at finaid@wichita.edu to have your disbursement date reevaluated.
Once disbursement begins for a term, the process runs nightly on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Our normal business process is to send excess financial aid via direct deposit within 3 to 5 business days or mail paper checks in 5 to 7 business days. Holidays and college closures are exceptions to this processing time.
