I was just accepted. What are my next steps?

Apply for federal financial aid
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov using WSU’s school code 001950.

Submit your housing contract or housing exemption form
All first year students who live outside the greater Sedgwick County area will need to submit a housing contract unless you meet exemption qualifications. Students must have an approved housing contract or housing exemption form on file to sign up for orientation. Click here for more details on housing requirements and exemption qualifications.

Orientation
All incoming students must complete orientation, regardless of previous credit hours earned. To sign up for orientation, visit wichita.edu/orientation. New students coming straight from high school will need to complete the pre-advising requirement found in the orientation registration.

Academic advising and enrollment
Academic advising is a key element for student success. All new students will need to meet with an academic advisor before enrolling in classes. New students who completed the pre-advising requirement will be contacted by your Advising Office to set up an appointment. Students who do not have the pre-advising requirement can contact your advising office to schedule an appointment.

Confidential health history & immunization information
Submit required confidential health history and immunization information by visiting https://www.wichita.edu/services/studenthealth/New_Student_Forms.php.

Pay your tuition bill
Pay any remaining balance for classes via the Student Account Suite on the myWSU portal. Several financing options are available, including a payment plan. Please click here for more details.

Submit final transcripts and test scores
Submit final, updated official transcripts from previous colleges and/or high school as well as ACT/SAT test scores to the Office of Admissions at WSU, if you have not already done so.
